I earned my Bachelors degree from the College of Staten Island in 2000 and my Master's in Social Work from New York University in 2005. I hold a license as a Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and have dedicated 23 years to the field of social work. My professional journey spans diverse clinical environments, including inpatient care, partial hospital programs, outpatient services, and residential treatment. I've worked extensively with individuals facing severe and persistent mental health issues as well as substance abuse challenges in these contexts. Fueled by my passion, I've pursued specialized training in sex addiction therapy. Additionally, I've undergone training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through both the Maiberger Institute and the EMDR Institute.
By the way, I'm an enthusiastic supporter of the NY Giants and Yankees. Animals hold a special place in my heart, and I'm dedicated to fitness and spending time in nature. I play multiple roles in life – as a son, uncle, boyfriend, therapist, and entrepreneur.
My Therapeutic Approach: Central to my approach is providing a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental atmosphere, where your safety and the value of being heard areparamount. I recognize that the topics you'll discuss may be uncomfortable or even intimidating. It's crucial that you have a space where you feel entirely at ease sharing anything without fearing judgment. My approach is holistic, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR with an embodied approach, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. While I occasionally infuse humor, I also believe in challenging you to foster growth and facilitate your journey toward becoming the best version of yourself.
